Ok, so I didn’t used to be a Harry Potter fan. Stephanie was. I hadn’t even seen any of the movies until Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. So I course the night before I saw it I had to watch the first two with Stephanie. And I liked the three movies but I still wasn’t really a fan.
I didn’t get into the books until I bought Stephanie Half Blood Prince, but of course I had to quickly read all of the books before I read that one. And predictably the books hooked me. So the last book is already preordered, hope I can last until July.

You didn’t like Harry Potter??? Did I ever tell you the story about when we lost Andrew – complete with calling the police and our FBI neighbors – I was hysterical – only to find him, after 3 hrs of searching, asleep in the linen closet with an itty-bitty-night-light and a Harry Potter book? Harry lived in the cupboard under the stairs, remember?

I really like your honesty about how you didn’t like Harry Potter. I have only seen the movies but I haven’t read the books.
I am always amazed about the excitement we experience here at the library every time a Harry Potter book is released!! Books are shipped overnight so they are ready, not at the shelves, but directly at the circulation desk to be picked up by our patrons. AMAZING!!
I guess I will have to read the books the be part of this fenomena!
