Well we beat Florida last night 30 to 28 in front of a Neyland Stadium record crowd of 109,061. I didn’t watch the first half, I was at the movies watching Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. But I did see the second half. The fourth quarter was a wild ride. With about 4 minutes left, Erik Ainge throws to Jayson Swain for a touchdown. But then James Wilhoit, a guy that has never missed, kicks wide right and misses the extra point, so the score is 27 to 28.
Then the game gets really wild. Florida is forced to punt with 55 seconds left. We manage to get to mid field, and with 6 seconds to go, Wilhoit redeems himself with an absolutely perfect 50 yard field goal. Wow. We win 30 to 28. The Knoxville News Sentinel has more details, as does ESPN. Now Tennessee is ranked No. 8 and Florida is No. 16 in the USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches Top 25.
And the Colts just beat the Titans 31-17. Being a Tennessean I guess I should be for the the Titans. But being in Knoxville I have to be for Peyton Manning.

i can guarantee that, in fact, you do not need to be rooting for Payton. Really.
